I chose to work as a foreign trade sales representative first and foremost because of Ningbo's advantages as a city. Ningbo is one of China's best-known foreign trade hubs. Backed by its world-class port, it has a mature foreign trade industry chain, well-developed supporting resources, dynamic private export companies, and fast-growing new business models and forms of trade. All of this makes it an excellent place to build a long-term career in the industry.
Second, I value the fact that foreign trade isn't limited to one kind of office work. The job involves working with overseas clients, following up on orders, managing processes, and coordinating with the supply chain. It's a role where you keep learning and practicing, and where growth comes from building real skills. What you put in is what you get out, which makes it a great fit for someone who wants to work steadily, build a solid foundation, and grow over the long term.
My expectations for my career are practical. In the short term, I want to quickly learn the company's products and export procedures, handle the fundamentals well (client communication, order follow-up, and so on), and build hands-on experience. Going forward, I hope to keep developing high-quality overseas clients, gain a deep understanding of international market demand, and build my own network of resources. My goal is to grow from an entry-level staff member into an experienced foreign trade professional who can independently manage orders and oversee projects, advancing steadily alongside both the industry and the company.
